Our favourite thing about Fresh is its diverse menu, catering to different dietary needs. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or just craving something tasty, there’s plenty to choose from. Trust us, we struggled to decide!
It’s also the kind of place that people keep coming back to. And I don’t just mean the good food, but the prices too. A full Scottish breakfast for £7.49? Yup, it’s the real deal!
To boot, they’ve got free Wi-Fi which is perfect for when you’re catching up on work or just scrolling while you sip your coffee. But if you can, definitely pick a seat outdoors for great views of the city or some relaxing people-watching, which, honestly, I find pretty therapeutic.
Pro Tip: Parking isn’t available right at the doorstep, so finding a spot at a public parking may take a while. Be sure to plan ahead!

I love breakfast, I really do. Give me a plate full of bacon, sausage, hash browns, and a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk—I’m getting hungry just thinking about it! That’s why, whenever we’re in Dunfermline, we never miss a stop at The Wee Cafe.
They’ve got an All Day Breakfast that lets you mix and match any 5, 7, 9, or 11 items starting at £5.95, which is a total bargain! Choose from sausages, hash browns, tattie scones, haggis, bacon, beans, and more. And if you’re starving, get their Breakfast Box for £21.50.
While their breakfast menu is my favourite, their lunch menu is just as tempting. Whether you’re in the mood for light brunch or something more filling, there’s plenty to choose from. They even have a kid’s menu, and if I’m being honest, their fish fingers are pretty darn good!
Pro Tip: Check the specials! The Wee Cafe sometimes has seasonal specials or extras, especially during the holidays, so it’s definitely worth asking what’s new.

The Wynd Cafe is one of my favourite spots because it’s like something straight out of a Hallmark movie, with its bright, charming interiors and delicious food. It feels like the perfect setting for a meet-cute straight out of a rom-com or a ‘love at first sight’ moment over brunch.
Speaking of, my girlfriends and I love eating here because the menu is so well-curated that there’s something for everyone. We never skip their creamy and herby Roasted Vegetable & Pesto Panini, their rich Tomato & Basil Soup, and smoky Bacon Ciabatta.
Plus, their drinks come with vegan, vegetarian, and even wheat-free options, so no one feels left out. Our faves? The smooth and creamy Mocha Frappe, the refreshing and lightly sweet Honey Iced Velvet Americano, and the rich and nutty Pistachio Iced Latte—all must-tries!
Pro Tip: For the best experience, grab a seat by the window for the perfect view of passersby and soak in the sun’s rays.
