The 5 Best Massage Spas in Dundee
How We Chose
Massage Options
There are many types of massages, so we included massage spas that offer the most popular ones and some unique ones.
Staff and Therapist Expertise
We want our readers to go to reputable massage spas with well-equipped staff and therapists.
Massage Spa Ambience
The ambience is made up of the spa’s amenities, aesthetics, music, noise levels, and cleanliness, which can enhance one’s experience.
Customer Satisfaction
We also consider customer feedback when we chose these massage spas, so we interviewed some customers to see what they think.
Price
Lastly, we rated the price range of each massage spa, and assessed whether or not the services they offer are worth it.

Pros
- 27 years in business
- Total of eight therapy rooms
- Unique, tailor-fit escape packages
Cons
- Massage services are not the sole focus for this spa
- Closed Saturdays and Sundays
We start our list with The Sunflower Room, a massage spa-beauty salon hybrid that aims to offer relaxation and pampering services to its clients. It’s conveniently located on South Tay Street, so it’s accessible to many significant establishments nearby.
The massage spa is a five-floor haven with a reception lounge, a nail bar, client dressing rooms, and an impressive total of eight therapy rooms. Its all-white exterior is a welcoming blend of classic and modern, and its interiors are bright and well-kept.
Since its establishment in 1995, founder Jennifer Comiskey and the rest of the staff have made customers feel at home. We observed that hospitality is one of their strongest suits, which has contributed to their perfect ratings online.
At The Sunflower Room, you can avail of their escape packages which are tailored to fit certain predicaments, which we think is quite ingenious. You can also choose from their hot stone, well-being, oil and salt, mud, and signature massages.
But while they’re often visited for their massage services, it’s not exactly a speciality of theirs, as they also offer standard beauty services. Additionally, they’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays, which can be a hassle for most weekday-working clients.
Nonetheless, The Sunflower Room is one of the most well-known massage spas in Dundee, pulling in lots of new and returning customers around the area. We especially recommend browsing through their special massage packages.
2. Evermore

Pros
- Broad selection of massage treatments
- Option to choose between a chatty or silent treatment session
- Unique “My Time” massage service
Cons
- Spa premises aren’t as sizable as others
- Closed Sundays and Mondays
Like The Sunflower Room, Evermore is also a highly rated massage spa-beauty salon hybrid based in Dundee. Currently led by Laura Kennedy, formerly of the Fairmont Hotel, this spa strives to offer a five-star experience.
Clients have attested to their efforts to deliver this, from being greeted at the reception up until they finish their treatment. Evermore also has quite an extensive range of massage treatments, including a few unique ones.
You can choose among their back, neck, & shoulder or full body massage, hot stones therapy, warm bamboo, Indian head massage, deep muscle, and de-stress massage. They also have a “My Time” massage, an exclusive 1-hour customisable service.
Therapists also make sure to discuss any special needs with clients and give them the option to choose between a chatty or silent treatment session. We appreciate this gesture because not everyone shares the same interaction preferences.
However, Evermore’s premises aren’t as sizable as other spas on this list, so it can be quite busy and harder to book during peak seasons. Evermore is also closed on Sundays and Mondays, similar to The Sunflower Room’s schedule.
Besides these minor booking inconveniences, there aren’t many cons to be mentioned for this spa. Evermore remains to be one of the best massage spas in Dundee, thanks to its broad selection of various massage styles.
3. Yu Spa

Pros
- Offers well-being treatments in addition to standard massages
- Amenities include swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, etc.
- Many shops, restaurants, and local attractions in the vicinity
Cons
- Expensive rates for services
- Amenities can get crowded and hard to access during weekends
As part of the 4-star Apex City Quay Hotel, Yu Spa is one of the most luxurious options on our list, and is a great venue for those who are looking for a fun twist to their usual massages. It has everything you could think of for a full day of relaxation in Dundee.
Their range of massages consists of their Yu signature “hero” treatment, full body massage, back, neck, & shoulder massage, hot stone massage, hand or foot massage, and pregnancy massage.
Yu Spa also has a couple of well-being treatments, which we think are fantastic additions to standard massages. These include reflexology therapy, ayurvedic scalp massage, and a cleansing salt scrub.
Customers can make use of their swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room before their treatment, or burn off the stress in their well-equipped gym. They also offer couples therapy through their duet rooms, which sets this spa apart.
These amenities don’t come cheap, so customers will have to splurge a bit. And despite the overall price, amenities like the pool and hot tub can get quite crowded during weekends, which takes away from the overall experience.
Still, Yu Spa is one of the top luxury massage spas in Dundee. There are also so many shops, restaurants, and local attractions that are accessible to the area, making it a convenient choice for a relaxing day off around town.
4. The Serenity Spa

Pros
- Home to a guild-accredited therapy training school
- Also offers facials, masks, nails, and pamper treatments
- Special aromatherapy, honey back, and CBD oil massages
Cons
- Customers have reported hit-or-miss experiences
- Lack of personnel and consistency as a company
The Serenity Spa Massage & Holistic Therapies has a wide range of renowned treatments. They’re an accredited training school, so customers rest assured that the company maintains a high standard of training and education for professionals.
This massage spa offers Swedish and Eastern Body (Deep Tissue), both of which can include the addition of hot stones to level up your relaxation. There’s also the Thai hot compress, Thai reflexology, and Indian head massage to choose from.
The Serenity Spa has several special options such as aromatherapy, honey back, and CBD oil full body massage, which is a service that’s unique to them and shows their level of research and passion for the business.
Customers can also avail of their facials, masks, nails, and pamper treatments for the full de-stressing experience. They also sell treatment gift vouchers, training kits, and accredited courses on their website, which can be perfect for friends and loved ones.
Unfortunately, some customers have reported having some hit-or-miss experiences. Apparently, the staff is also often spread between massage treatments, beauty services, and their training school, resulting in a lack of personnel for each category.
While this could be a therapist or managerial issue, we hope they work on consistency as a company. As one of the most visited spas in Dundee, Serenity Spa is a wonderful place to go for massage services that you won’t find anywhere else.

Pros
- Winner of the 2022/2023 Holistic Treatment Specialist of the Year
- Approved by Parkinson’s UK and MND Scotland
- Treatments personally performed by owner Jenny Bailey
Cons
- One-woman-led establishment
- Treatment rooms are not as spacious
Finally we have The Tranquility Zone, founded and run by Jenny Bailey. It was recently hailed by Scotland Prestige as the 2022/2023 winner of the Holistic Treatment Specialist of the Year and is one of the top 3 massage therapists in Dundee.
The establishment carries a range of massages, reflexology services, and reiki, which is a therapy focused on energy healing. Customers can go for a Swedish massage, hot stones massage, deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, and a few others.
The Tranquility Zone is also an approved provider by Parkinson’s UK and MND Scotland for administering complementary therapies, making it one of the most inclusive and progressive spas on our list.
Jenny personally performs and oversees treatments done in the spa, and we’ve observed that customers are treated in a friendly and welcoming way. This makes The Tranquility Zone a fantastic option for massage first-timers.
This spa isn’t run like most others as it is generally a one-woman-led establishment, so you would have to book well before your preferred date to ensure a slot. And similar to Evermore, the treatment room can only accommodate a few people at a time.
While it isn’t the ideal place to have a joint spa day with your best friends or partner, it’s perfect for ‘me time and individual holistic healing. That said, we recommend utilising The Tranquility Zone’s bespoke services to create a personalised treatment package.
